In contrast to low-velocity antegrade flow across hypoplastic aortic arch on color Doppler, there is high-velocity flow on the right-to-left systolic shunt across the arterial duct. Diastolic left-to-right flow across the arterial duct indicates lower diastolic pulmonary artery pressure compared to systemic diastolic pressure.
