Video 21.26 Ventricular septal defect and left ventricular outflow track viewed from a parasternal long-axis view
Ventricular septal defect and left ventricular outflow track viewed from a parasternal long-axis view. A large ventricular septal defect was located in the outlet of the subaortic septum. The hypertrophied infundibular septum, together with the small (3.7-mm diameter) aortic valve, contributed to narrowing of the left ventricular outflow tract. Incomplete opening of the aortic leaflets suggests a bicuspid aortic valve.
