Video 20.21 Reconstructed arch

This is an example of a reconstructed arch. The distal anastomosis of this neo-aorta does not have a smooth tapered contour and it appears that there is an area of discrete stenosis as demonstrated by color Doppler right at the distal suture line. This type of obstruction can lead to ventricular dysfunction and may have to be addressed in the interventional catheterization laboratory, or in the operating room.
