Video 17.13 Coronary sinusoid and associated aneurysm

Coronary sinusoid and associated aneurysm. This is a magnified image taken from the parasternal short-axis window. The aorta is in the center of the screen. The arrow delineates an echo-free space within the myocardium anterior to the aorta. This space looks very dilated during a portion of the cardiac cycle and much more like a mildly ectatic vessel in other portions of the cardiac cycle. This is an aneurysm of the intramyocardial sinusoid associated with a coronary artery stenotic lesion.
