Video 9.4: Partial anomalous pulmonary venous connection (PAPVC): scimitar syndrome. Subxiphoid short-axis image with color Doppler flow mapping in this patient with scimitar syndrome demonstrates PAPVC of right pulmonary veins to the inferior vena cava at its junction with the right atrium. Note the mild flow acceleration by color Doppler and the flow directed caudally toward the transducer, which in this view is always an abnormal finding.
