Video 6.1: Color Doppler flow across a stenotic aortic valve sampled from the subcostal coronal view. The jet across the aortic valve is oriented towards the wall of the aorta. The high flow velocity creates a region of low pressure adjacent to the vessel wall. At the inner curvature of the aorta there is slower flow velocity with development of flow reversal (orange flow towards the transducer).
