View from left atrium (LA) into the mitral valve (MV). A protruding part of the MV leaflet can be seen in the center of the posterior leaflet - at p2 level. In a left lateral cross-section of the MV (see Video 42.6) a prolapse of the PMVL is shown. The localization, extent, and severity of the MV prolaps can be assessed easily with 3D echo.
