Video 42.3 The contours of the right ventricle (RV) can be traced in the transverse plane

The contours of the right ventricle (RV) can be traced in the transverse plane at three levels (the three left-sided images), in the coronal view (upper left), and the sagittal view (lower right). Contours should be traced in end-diastole and end-systole, and volume calculations are done automatically. Tracing of contours in the trabeculated RV is not straightforward, hence inter- and intra-observer variability is substantial. Robust automatic contour detection is essential for this application.
